Quelle est la différence entre les fichiers PST et OST utilisé dans Outlook?

Everyone knows that Microsoft Outlook application is an excellent and most widely used email client on the planet. More to emails, Outlook helps users to save contacts, schedule meetings, subscribe to RSS feeds, create notes etc. And all such important attributes are stored in Outlook data file (PST and OST). Here we give you the major differences between an OST and PST file.

OST stands for Offline Storage Table whereas PST stands for Personal Storage Table. OST files starts as a mirror image of your Outlook folders on the Exchange server and can be used in case of no network connectivity, whereas PST file is a database file which is used to save all Outlook attributes such as emails, contacts, calendar entries, notes etc. You need to create PST file when you want to create or backup archive on your computer, PST files uses POP3, IMAP and web based mail accounts. However, if you use Cache mode in Outlook then the file is saved as .ost. OST files can be created on Microsoft Exchange servers such as MS Exchange 5.0, 5.5, 2000, 2003, 2007 and Exchange 2010 and PST files are created on Microsoft Outlook versions including Outlook 2000, 2003, 2007 and 2010.
